I hired this attorney after losing my job in San Diego. He told me that I had a good case and that we should file a law suit. I agreed to let him do this form me and me told that there would be no fee. He then tried to force me to settle for a very small amount of money. I was told by other attorneys that this is what he does. Now I am unable to pursue my case and there is no way to go back. I have virtually nothing to show for my trouble and I am out of luck. I have learned an important lesson.

My wife and I hired this lawyer to represent her after she was not given her meal breaks and lunches by her employer. We met with Mr. Strauss who told us that the employer would probably want to settle the case real quick. Soon after he filed the law suit the employer made a "low ball" offer to our side. Mr. Strauss began to put the pressure on us to settle as soon as possible. Every time that we talked to him he could not wait to get us off the phone. It seemed that his only goal was to get his contingeny fee while doing as little work as possible. It was clear that his business was all about getting clients to settle quickly so he could get his quick percentage. I have consulted with other attornies who have told us that the case and the evidence that we have should have resulted in a much higher settlement than we got.

I hired this attorney to represent me in a discrimination law suit against my former employer. Mr. Strauss told me that I would not have to pay any money until we won the case or received a settlement from the case. It was clear soon after we started that he had no real interest in actually doing much work at all on the case. He seemed to only be interested in getting a quick settlement so that he could take his cut. He very rarely returned my phone calls and when I did finally get to talk to him he seemed to not know anything about my case or what was going on with it. I guess the overall impression I had with him is that he always seemed tired and overworked. I finally agreed to settle my case for a small amount. I was told by other attorneys that my case should have settled for much more than it did. I guess you live and learn.
