I entered into an agreement with Mr. Johnson for termination of birthparent rights and finalization of a private adoption for the fee of $4000. I was almost immediately dissatisfied with his communication skills, attention to detail and doubted his commitment to my case/my specific needs. He did terminate my daughter's birthparents' rights, which was very cut and dry as both mother and father signed relinquishment papers at the hospital. His son (Justin of Adoption Alliance) actually obtained the birthparents' signatures. Concerned about continuing to use Mr. Johnson's services for finalization, I requested he remove himself from my case and provide a detailed accounting of his use of my $4000 retainer thus far. Instead of an accounting, I received a $325.00 check in the mail. Upon additional requests regarding an accounting of time spent, he emailed a very gross breakdown. I was charged $1500 for Adoption Alliance consultation - never had contract with Adoption Alliance.
