This lawyer VOLUNTARILY signed up with law guru.com to answer people's legal questions for free. The site is clearly set up for the solicitation of business by attorneys, with the promotion being that people get to ask one question for free. I asked a question about the police damaging my private property, and here's the answer I got, "The the matter to small claims court and let a judge decide."
Wow! Thanks! Very Informative! Well thought out! Good grammar too! Of course, I didn't have to pay for the answer (luckily), but still, that kind of one-liner is an insult. It's like taking your broken-down car to the mechanic, coming back the next day, and having him tell you, "It's broken." Afterwards, when I emailed him back, he was even more disrespectful and rude! If Mr. Starrett can't take 5 minutes to answer a question that he VOLUNTEERED to answer, and be respectful about it, then you might want to just cross him off your list, and go with a different attorney.
