Brahn thinks that if you hire him as a mediator that he should tell you what you want and need. He is arrogant and pretentious. He really has no right to be a mediator. He should stick to arguing cases as a lawyer and not even try to be a neutral. He is so not neutral. He forms an opinion on a mediation case and then tells everyone what the conclusion should be. I should have never hired him as a mediator. It was a waste of my time and money.

Brahm was an absolute nightmare as a mediator. Firstly, he doesn't listen. He only talks. He tells you how things will end. He refuses to be balanced. He thinks 'he knows best.' Mediation is an opportunity to dialogue, share and make compromises. The Mediator is supposed to facilitate that. The very opposite occurred. He caused greater cost, division and polarization. Brahm has no business being a Mediator.

After firing my previous lawyer for not having the competency to handle my divorce in the context of some complex financial situations, I found Brahm through great ratings on this site. He did not disappoint. Brahm’s handling of my case was efficient, no nonsense, annd extremely competent. Brahm was able to navigate through the multiple processes in valuing my corporations and coming up with the right specialists to help arrange a workable agreement that comprehensively addressed the needs of my children and push the other side to settle with a fair agreement, even though, the counterpart had a horrible and sloppy lawyer. Brahm is a meticulous and detail oriented person, which along with his sharp wit, is a good combination to have had on my side. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I had just ended a 28 year marriage that had become unbearable. What I thought would be an amicable separation turned quickly into a nightmare with a plethora of false accusations, alienation, and gut wrenching emotional, financial and psychological attacks.
Brahm understands the system and knows most of the lawyers and judges, and displayed the ability to quickly find intelligence on anyone he did not personally know. He gave me clear, concise direction and is a master strategist. All of Brahm's communication is quick, relevant, and exceedingly on point. Nothing is wasted with Brahm. The ex had a well regarded lawyer who Brahm perpetually outhustled, outmaneuvered and dominated. I almost felt bad for the other side.
The mental, emotional, relational, and financial stressors I endured were greatly alleviated knowing I had Brahm on my side.

Bram is an outstanding strategist, who factors in human behavior, with legal obligation. He is a master at getting agreements closed in his clients favor. He is excellent with words and the law, most times. He did make 2 legal mistakes and hid the documentation showing his errors from me until he released my entire file. I told him I needed my high-conflict divorce resolved fast and what I wanted and he instead put me into a process that made things much more expensive, litigious with great risk to me; something I told him I needed to avoid so I could preserve a secure future for me and my kids. I think he figured he could still get me a "win" but chose to do so in a way that would also better his bank account and ego. The problem was that I had some money at that time and was a good potential source of income for him. Lawyers find him to be a good lawyer.

Brahm is an excellent family lawyer. He was referred to me by my business lawyer. He focuses on the facts and being efficient. He's also practical and has great advise.
I was able to get 50/50 parenting schedule for my 3 kids without going to court. I don't know how possible this would have been without Brahm.

Very surprised and disappointed. Not at all what I expected before working with him. Mr. Siegel was clearly biased for one party. He completely ignored important evidence and facts that supported the opposite position. He even admitted he had not read all of the material in preparation for the session with him. When met with polite disagreement, he was abrasive, bombastic and frankly rude. I would never recommend him to anyone given the way he conducted himself. Total shock especially considering his reputation.

I found Brahm at a very difficult time. He helped finalize my divorce, and continues to provide excellent advice and assistance when faced with ongoing parenting issues. He responds quickly and does not focus on unimportant details or issues that can easily distract from what really matters. All too often emotions can take over. Brahm is empathetic, but he is also a voice of reason, choosing to focus on moving forward to find resolution rather than dwelling on issues of the past. This has been a refreshing approach. He was able to finalize my divorce in mere months, a task my prior lawyer could not accomplish over 5 years. He remains a trusted advisor and someone I have tremendous respect for. I was referred to Brahm. He might not be the cheapest lawyer BUT you get what you pay for. Ask yourself, what is more important to you, saving a few dollars upfront or YOUR BOTTOM LINE?. At times I was extremely frustrated but Brahm was always there for me with a logic mind and able to calm me down. He was super responsive whenever I had a question. Typically, 5 minutes after I sent an email he would usually respond. No matter how busy he was, he will tell you he will get back to you. To me thats gold.
Brahm was always VERY calm headed unlike me. He was also very stern, even with me. He is fair.. He always knew when to be stern with the other side and knew what battles we should pick. Brahm was always able to see around corners when I didn’t.
Bottom line, do not hesitate to go with Brahm. More importantly, let him lead. It was hard to let go and trust someone else with your future but I am I glad I did. I saved a lot of money and I can finally move on with my life. TKS B

Brahm Siegel was my mediator in my divorce. From my first interaction with him, he put my mind at ease with his calming nature and walked me through the steps of the mediation process. Unlike other mediators who would typically just have a first meeting which would include the cost of lawyers too, he recommends each party meet with him individually for 45 minutes, allowing both parties to relay their side of events which lead to the marriage ending. This allows him to not only get to know the parties account, but also for him to get to know the parties and familiarize them with the office, location, process etc. I found his team during the mediation extremely courteous and the actual mediation to be as efficient as possible. I was almost certain, I would have to go to arbitration in order to come to a resolution, however, Mr. Siegel in his fair mediation, were able to bring both parties to an agreement before mid-day. Simply AMAZING!

Unlike my last lawyer, he did not have random associates working on my file, so he was always very aware of the specifics of my case. Brahm assisted my mother with her divorce after another lawyer failed to make progress in her case. We spent over a year with the previous lawyer, and made little progress. Once we retained Brahm, my mother's divorce began to move forward very quickly. Brahm is very knowledgeable and well connected. He gave great advice on how to come to a quick and fair resolution, and always advised on the most cost effective way to move forward. We never felt like he was wasting our money, as we did with the previous lawyer. We wish that we had gone to him first. Going through divorce is never easy and it's also the unknown of what can happen. I interviewed 3 lawyers before meeting Brahm and it was after meeting him that I retained him. He is more than knowledgeable, compassionate and ultimately fair, which put me at ease because I just wanted to move on in my life. All the things that he said could or would happen, ultimately did. When we had our first meeting with my soon to be EX and her lawyer, it was a lopsided meeting with me actually feeling sorry for her. Brahm came across with references, statistics and compassion not only for me but my ex as well. He made sure that our son was the focus and that both sides at the end of this, would be able to have an amicable separation. I was very satsified with Brahm Siegel’s representation in my case. I didn’t know what to expect as this was my first time ever requiring a lawyer. He explained to me what to expect, my options, how strong my case was, and his plan of approach for my case. He was very straight forward, and direct. He does not candy coat, and i found him to be honest and trustworthy. He is quite knowledgeable in family litigation. His qualifications are quite impressive. His hourly service rate is a bit expensive, however he does not try to take advantage of you. He tries to be very cost effective, and find resolution to save you money and not have to go to court if not needed by having a conference between the party’s. I would recommend him if you required such representation. I will definitely use him again to protect myself/assets if ever to be in a common-law relationship. Quite simply, Mr. Siegal is an excellent family lawyer. While I’ve had the unfortunate circumstance of having a highly litigious ex-spouse with representation of (several) of the most high profile, aggressive lawyers in the country, I’ve had the exceptionally talented Mr. Siegal steering my legal ship. He does not do drama, exaggeration, or inflammatory hyperbole that unnecessarily exacerbates and draws out what is typically a highly emotionally charged process. He does do minimalism, clarity, substance, and fact. He can be tough, direct, and with a no-nonsense approach and does not engage in bombastic theatre. His efficiency and business approach is where you find value, not so much the hourly rate which is not the critical factor in these matters.

Brahm was recommended to me by a well-respected collaborative lawyer after negotiations with my ex broke down and she decided to litigate. I found Brahm to be highly experienced and efficient. After a single court session we were able to quite rapidly arrive at a reasonable settlement with the other side. Brahm’s extensive experience as a lawyer and mediator/arbitrator shines through when he deals with cases – he can be aggressive when necessary yet diplomatic at other times. Brahm wasn't my first choice but I'm glad I picked him. He is very knowledgeable of family law and knows what he is doing. He is a NO NONSENSE lawyer and would like to resolve the issues swiftly through arbitration and tries to avoid going to court. His billing is fair and properly itemized. When all our issues were resolved, he made our separation agreement quickly. He always consults me every time there is an issue at hand. He answers emails and phone calls promptly and whenever he is on a holiday, he made sure that a colleague is there to assist you. He is a GENIUS and a lawyer with a heart. My experience with Brahm is nothing short of a nightmare. When one choosing arbitration, it is to expedite the process. My marriage of short duration without any extra ordinary circumstances was dragged through 20 days over a 2 year period costing in the hundreds of thousands. As it is a private arbitration, only the involved people know that this scam artist is capable of such disregard for the law and in no way serve justice in a true arbitrators fashion. Brahm had no interest is expediting the process but rather filling his pockets with monotonous testimony and rhetoric. Shame on you Brahm. Others should be warned of your unethical and immoral practice. I hope that the ever growing list of past clients continue to expose your sham.

Divorce is a nightmare for everyone. As a new immigrant, it's even worse. I don’t know anything about Canadian family law and I don’t know any family lawyer. The good thing was I found this website and based on customers’ rating, I chose Mr. Brahm Siegel as my lawyer. It has been approved was my smartest decision in my life!

Brahm is a forth right, smart and ethical lawyer. He knows the law very well and will advise you smartly during your separation and custody affairs. He was punctual, prepared and extremely efficient. I have a tendency to long windedness and during meetings he politely and empathetically steered me to tasks or necessary info required. He was alway quick to reply via email or phone to any questions I had. Brahm gave me options to have work done by him or colleagues for cost adjustment in my favour. His fees are not inexpensive but I believe you get what you pay for. He did not push costly court room drama and resolved my separation and custody agreement very well. I always felt that Brahm not only had my best interests at heart but more importantly my children's. He is witty & charming, bringing a light sense of humour to an otherwise dismal process. My feeling is that if you hire Brahm you won't be disappointed...my advise is that if you do, take his advise!

I found Brahm after having a terrible experience with my first lawyer. He was very good at getting me through very bad times with the best possible outcome. His fees were reasonable. He knew the answers quickly and did not waste my time ever. He was a really nice person and did seem to care about the eventual outcome for me and my children. Brahm was honest and accurate in his assessment of how things would turn out and what my options were. I felt that he tried very hard and it did make a difference in the final agreement. I would highly recommend him for his brutal honesty which is sometimes hard to take but there is no point in drawing things out for terms that would be very unlikely to get in court. So yes, do hire him.

I was referred to Brahm by a friend, he represented me throughout an overly long and very challenging 6 year divorce proceeding just recently finished. I consistently found him to be knowledgeable, professional, responsive and fairly priced (as far as that goes; my fees were 1/3 of my ex's). He's a decent guy, offered good advice, was supportive and often able to talk me down from the ledge to help me make better decisions. I think his training as a mediator helped prepare fair offers that would help bring the ordeal to an end. None were accepted but I slept better and they're now working in my favour as I try to recover costs. It's never going to be fun but I thought I was always in good hands and I'd recommend him.

Brahm's approach was straightforward, practical, honest and realistic...not always what you want to hear when you are going through the emotions of separation & divorce...but admittedly what you need. Adjourned my case 3 times to the tune of thousands of dollars, claiming we weren`t ready, even though I gave him every scrap of information required. It was no contest as Brahm blew the other lawyer out of the park......He also recently look after new girlfriend. Her situation was very different and her funds were limited. His focus is on pushing what the book says and does not try to help you win... BAD choice if you are a male and looking for any help... You will pay everything you have and at the end might get joint custody and will get you to pay the maximum spousal and child support possible.

Separation and divorce can be very emotional. There are also many misconceptions that have made their way to common and conventional "truths". Brahm makes sure that you understand the law as well as where you should focus your time, energy and resources. His process and methodology is thorough, focused and efficient. I spent some time researching and finding a lawyer and it was well worth it. It would be hard to give him a good rating on anything but being expensive as he continually delays and all you get are excuses no value. He is definitely only in it for the money. when I checked him out before retaining him, I saw a bunch of unhappy people but decided to give try him anyway. That was a HUGE mistake. He is too self absorbed to care about anything other than your money. You get very little if any value for your money. you have been warned!

Brahm Let the entire process drag on for way longer than necessary (by about 5X). Had his assistants doing most of the work but was certainly not reflected in his over inflated bills. It appeared that based on his billing, he reads at the pace of a 5 year old. The outcome could have not been any worse. If could go back in time, I would stay clear of this useless man. DEFINITELY not worth a fraction of his rate as a lot of his errors, oversights and incompetency was pointed out in the final decision as well as reflected in same.
His Ego has gotten the best of him and he needs to get a grasp on reality. Self representation is a better option than retaining this greedy selfish man. Godspeed!

Brahm drafted and finalized my separation agreement, and provided legal advice on the agreement and my divorce. He was very knowledgeable, detailed and quick to respond.
