State Attorney Mr. Shapiro and my husband walked into the courtroom and the federal marshalls were there to apprehend him. Therefore, Mr. Shapiro did not do anything other than draw up power of attorney forms. No motions, nothing. My husband paid him 2,500.00 which was part of the retainer fee. Mr. Shapiro refunded me $500.00 on 9/9/10 in which I did not agree apon. On 9/10/10, I left a message on Mr. Shapiro's voice mail advising him to resolve the matter before I take this case through arbitration. Mr. Shapiro left a message advising me to pick an additional check in the amount of $750.00. At the bottom of the check it stated FINAL REFUND!! My husband could not appoint Mr. Shapiro because he was not a federal attorney. Mr. Shapiro charged me 1,250.00 for drawing up a power of attorney. He stated himself that he charge $250.00 a hour. Well how many hours did it take to drive to the court house and draw up power of attorney papers from the computer?
