Ken took care of me, as if I was his only client. I felt he heard me, he saw me and he achieved my goals. He fought for me and got me everything I wanted in my divorce. His billing was transparent and fair. He is efficient. He is a great lawyer, a great legal mind. He helped me and my children get a fair divorce from an unfair spouse. My friend's daughter recommended that I go to Ken Nathens to work through an agreement between myself and my common law partner, much like a prenuptial agreement. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, competent and easily accessible. Paperwork was completed in a timely manner, and he took the time to go through it with me. Once my partner and I went through it and had changes to make, Ken was extremely receptive to these and continued to make sure I understood all the wording, and intent of each section of the agreement. There's nothing like a family crisis, in my case a long term joint family venture, to force a person to re-evaluate their life. Its a scary time. The legal system just part of that. By year 8 I learned some valuable lessons. First don't put your own spouse through law school. Second the lawyer you hire is really your biggest asset. Third if you don't pick from the top of the tree you will be using the term salvage regularly. Four Ken Nathen's team is from the very top;extremely knowledgeable,trustworthy,courteous and prompt.When I found Ken in year six my life was a legal shambles. My trust in the system long gone along with most of my assets.Ken surprised me. If he says he will do something he actually does it. If you ask a question you get an answer. Like shock therapy you just might not like it as by then I had cliffs in front me. It is one thing to decide to climb a mountain. Another to stay on top. This particular case was complex and involved back payment for extraordinary expenses related to a child with learning disabilities and private school. I went thru a very difficult divorce with a very controlling, angry, absent ex husband who liked the fight. Ken was equal to that.
