Unprepared for trial, conflicting information provided to me, and worse no information. Was told by Jeff that certain actions would occur, discovery was ordered (very costly) and not used. Then was called by Kristen (very rude BTW) and told there was a breakdown in the relationship. I fired him that day. Waste of time, waste of money and I LOST CUSTODY BECAUSE OF HIS POOR REPRESENTATION. RID: 135828
Click to report rating    7/14/12   3     2     1     1     1   My dad is 72 & has very little money for his divorce. After much research, we chose Kristen & Dayne Holstrom. They were compassionate, generous with their time & truly seemed to care about my father’s situation & case. We chose Kristen because of her lower rate & Dayne is her father. 1st meeting Kristen introduced us to Mr. Sissung as the “supervising” attorney who agreed to bill at her lower rate. Kristen disappeared, it took 5 mo before applying for support costing my dad $5500 in lost $$, always waited until the last minute, never got to know the case well, ordered discovery but did nothing with it, pushed the MSC twice & showed up to court unprepared for the temp. support hearing. When we got frustrated that Jeff would be replacing himself with an attorney we had never met for our next MSC hearing, he dropped my dad just days before the MSC due to a “breakdown of client relationship”, & now he is left to represent himself. Dayne Holstrum never respond to many emails & phone calls. RID: 74463
Click to report rating    6/22/12   4     1     3     1     1   I did a screening of this lawyer. He did a phone consultation, and in the middle of it, I was cut off and sent to his answering machine. I called back, and a secretary answered and said he was on the line with another client. He did not call me back, even after I left my number with the secretary. I called back again later, and the secretary said once again he was talking to a client. I was put me in contact with another lawyer (Dayn Holstrom's daughter). I was told that the lawyers work as a "team", and it was likely that she would be handling work from Sissung or Holstrom. Neither her school attended nor her experience was acceptable to me. In summary, "caveat emptor". A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. You may not get what you pay for, and the communication was unacceptable. I did not hire this lawyer as a result of such a poor consultation. RID: 72621
Click to report rating    3/8/12   5     5     5     5     5   My Family Law Case in Riverside, California is 13 years old and I have been in court for most of those years responding to frivolous motions. I had moved out of the state approximately 3 years ago after I was granted permission to do so with my minor child. In late November 2011, I received in the mail an order to appear in court in less then a week in December 2011 regarding visitation. With me living out of state now, I knew I needed a professional, experienced, aggressive and knowledgeable attorney to represent my minor son and I as soon as possible because my file was thick and difficult. My husband, found the law firm, Holstrom, Sissung, Marks & Anderson from the internet. Attorney Kristen Holstrom-Fiebiger was the first person of contact and became of aware of my situation I was facing and assured him that they could help. Kristen, later had Attorney Jeff Sissung call me back later that evening to discuss my case even more. We thought that I had to address the court for a RID: 65439

2/1/12   5     5     5     5     5   I contacted the law firm Holstrom, Sissung, Marks & Anderson, a Professional Law Corporation, and was put in contact with Jeff Sissung. During our initial phone conversation I realized that Jeff’s knowledge of family law, coupled with his communication skills with regards to the legal procedures required to succeed, made the decision to request his representation easy. I was extremely comfortable knowing that Jeff would take personal ownership of my case. This coupled with his unwavering professionalism and knowledge of family law; I knew that he would use whatever legal processes available to ensure that a successful outcome would be achieved. Jeff’s admiration for his profession is demonstrated by his providing that personal aspect to his clients. His precise, flawless, attention to detail brought about a highly successful settlement that could not have been accomplished otherwise. Respectfully submitted, Jaxon M. Tate RID: 63071
Click to report rating    11/29/11   5     5     5     5     5   I met Jeff in the midst of the most difficult part of my case. I was very nervous, unsure of what to do or how I would resolve my divorce. Jeff was very calm, assuring and detailed in his work. Jeff gathered all the facts, gave me concrete expectations and when we were in court I was completely assured of how intelligent and experienced he truly is. Jeff is an impressive attorney and will handle your case with professionalism and keep you informed. He is a very organized intelligent attorney. RID: 56027
