I’m writing this review after being acquitted thanks to Alonzo Abbey. I was charged with some very serious allegations, I needed someone very experienced to deal with this situation. After some research online, I found Alonzo Abbey, and I asked a lot of questions and he had all knowledge required to answer every single question relating to my current situation. There were no empty promises or exaggerations of what could happen, only what will realistically happen depending on the circumstances, that's when I knew I was dealing with someone straight forward, honest, and experienced.

He has been so outgoing and beat a false possession charge of a gun in which as a black man i was facing a good amount of time and the charges are dropped now. When I was 22 I ran into some trouble living a lifestyle I've put behind me, at this juncture in my life Alonzo was more than a lawyer. Someone I was able to trust and never worry about whether due diligence was being done. Alonzo never asked me for money because he knew I couldn't afford him, instead I retained him through legal aide. Alonzo never once asked for money outside of court documents or created false charges that couldn't be met by legal aide. As a black man, you hope and pray for someone like Alonzo Abbey to represent you in court. When my trial finally started 3 years later, Alonzo used case law and his vast knowledge of Canadian Criminal Code to get me acquittal. I was facing double digit charges for a crime I did not commit, however I was in the middle of a complicated situation that could have gone either way. Alonzo is exactly the kind of lawyer I needed. Busy but always available by phone. I wanted to plea just to get off of bail and get my firearm charges over with. Mr. Abbey refused to let me plea and encouraged me to stay the course. All charges dropped in the end. I have had him for five different matters.
