Marvin promptly called me after filling out form for free half hour consultation, he asked me to send him my contract agreement and called me back and gave me sound advice, he told me to call him back if matter did get resolved on its own. No fee was charged for document review and advice.

I had a good introduction call and free consultation with Mr.Gorodensky. As promised in their advertisement, he did not try to charge me anything for that call. We went over my seperation letter from the company I worked for, provide calrity on what was being offered as compensation and if it all seem fair. Clear and concise is what I got and that's what I needed.

Rude and incompetent. Doesn't review notes before calling so spends time "flipping through papers" (I can hear you, Marvin!) and doesn't appraise himself of the details of the case. Beware the "25% of an award" schtick; he will bilk you for money at any opportunity. Also woefully inaduate at dealing with negotiations. I'm no further forward thatn I was months ago. Avoid!

Mr Gorodensky is a very knowledgeable Labour Lawyer. When looking for a good lawyer you want someone who is willing to fight the fight for you. If Mr. Gorodensky feels that you have a case against your employer you can bet that he will go after the best severance he can get for you. He has to be tenacious as some of these employers will try to get away with giving little or nothing to the employer and when that happens, you can be sure that Marvin will make them understand the Labour Laws and what you are entitled to in a very direct manner.

During initial meet asked probing questions to determine if I had a case to get more money from previous employer. He told me what he could do for me and then delivered in spades. He got me an offer that was significantly above what I was being offered, and far more than I expected.

If i had checked the rating of this first i would never be calling his office. Agree with those calling him "a blood sucker". The free consultation will soon be costing you a few hundreds easy: 1. It is evident he is not interested to provide you with clear advise. Be sure he will make everything it takes to extend first free 30 mins into couple of hours of his time with you. Mind his crazy 400 CAD per minute rate. My advise would be to find a lawyer who will charge you 300 CAD for a complete consultation (up to 2 hours). 2. Even if you didnt sign the contract with him be careful! If you start an e-mail communication with this guy he will be charging you for 'reviewing' each of your e-mails. How about 50 CAD for 1 line e-mail - easy! 4. His personality is somewhat arrogant and rude. 5. Stay away from him. Check the high ranked lawyers.

Avoid seeing this lawyer at all cost, especially if your case is not a simple one to win. He will do everything to make you pay for so-called "free" consultation at a rate of $400/hr. You can get a really free consultation of the same or better quality from other lawyers over the phone.

He is one scheming shark. He didn't even get his facts straight to build my case the first time. I wrote in 3 times for clarification: no response. His initial bait of free advice and percentage of additional gain was deceptive. When I decided not to pursue legal charges, he pounced an astronomical charge on me, saying he spent 10 mins reviewing each of my mails. What a lie, he had simply ignored them and was clueless what I had asked in my mails. He may know the law, but avoid this blood sucker

I hired Marvin for a wrongful dismissal case (2009). Marvin was very knowledgeable but arrogant, rude, and condescending at times. He constantly wanted more money before we settled and charges 400 per hour plus 20% of your settlement. I did receive a settlement in the end from my former employer but the experience was poor and his fees were way to high. Would not hire him again.

This guy loves to bring out the Debit / Credit card machine! $400/hour. Charged me $300 to draft a small letter. $300 to report to me? and so on....into the thousands. Knows his stuff but a lot of it looks like a cookie cutter approach. He will call you Sir, even though he knows your name???

Excellent - s shark on your side who is not in the least intimidated by anything the other party may through at him or you. Follow his lead, though his office manner may be unconventional/a little rushed, efficiency rules and this ethos will be part of your case. Extremely generous in carrying outstanding fees on account for a long period of time so certain was success and when the final tab came in (paid for by the other party of course), he discounted his portion without any prompting to leave more on the table for me. Mr. Gorodensky is a "just the facts 'mam, just the facts" type of lawyer, so if you want to wax philosophical or cry on a shoulder, he is not for you. Rather, he is for the plaintiff who has their facts straight, knows what he wants and is willing to follow Mr. Gorodensky's lead. He engages in no unnecessary time wasting in meetings so as to "ring up your bill" but keeps to the agenda and encourages his client to do the same for their own sake.
