I met with Anita in April 2017 about a divorce. Consultation was 150 but I needed someone. When I met her & discussed my situation, she took my case. I gave her the $500 in my wallet. since that day, I have had no contact from her. It's August 2017. No call, mail, email, nothing. I've tried to get my money back by calling & showing up at her work, which happens to be her house. I was promised my money minus the consultation fee which I agreed to. Still nothing.

she was a horrible attorney, 6 months before my divorce my husband and i were involved in a domestic violence incident where he was completely high on crack and attacked me several times with a knife, so i shot him (1 pellet in the big toe) and at my divorce hearing the first question she asked me was, "tell us what happened the day you shot your husband" and after the judge called me susan smith and told me i would never have my kids, i was given an entry order to get my clothes. i was thrown out of my home, my husband was given just two hours more custody, so he became primary and was also given a free babysitter while he was working and i was given custody during the rest of his work week. as for the order to get my personal belongings for a 2 and 4 year old i was told by my atty not to even attempt to get anything before xmas ( i filed on dec 13) so on xmas day i was given a ziplock bag of socks for me and the kids, and i never got in my home for four months, i fired her on xmas
