Mr Ouellette is still putting himself out as a lawyer, despite having been disbarred. He is practicing without a license: any "clients" have no procedural protection (Law Society) or benefit of insurance (Alberta Lawyers' Insurance Association). Stay away from Mr Ouellette and any lawyer who works with him. If he screws up (almost inevitable), you have no recourse. Do yourself a favour and find a real lawyer.

He is a knowledgeable lawyer indeed. Overall experience is dreadful: he never answers his phones, always waits until the last minute to file, uses a very disrespectful approach, bullying clients into doing/not doing as he tells them. This is inappropriate.

I find unfortunate to not have the rate "very Good" or "Excellent", mostly when it comes to Mr. Ouellette's work quality, tenacity and value. He was extremely well prepared and stood in the face of high difficulty. He cross-examined a dishonest detective and showed that the detective was totally fabricating evidence to try to get me convicted even though I had not done but I was charged with. Mr. Ouellette was properly aggressive and saved both my career and my reputation. He charges senior counsel rates, which means he charges fairly high rates, but everyone knows that cheap can end up being really expensive. He is worth every penny. Thanks to Mr. Ouellette.

He misses deadlines for submits, overbills, and likes the sound of his own voice in court to extend his billable hours for trial.

Mr. Ouellette took on our highly contentious and convoluted divorce file that had been manhandled by 3 previous lawyers and had recently been put into a tail spin with the release of an outrageously dishonest report from a professional. Mr. Ouellette cross-examined this so-called expert and has taken no time at all to bring to the fore this individuals lies and outright dishonesty. Mr. Ouellette's approach has been methodical and ethically without reproach. His focus, when dealing with family matters, is purely on the children, which is a good thing because I sadly cannot say the same for the court itself. I cannot recommend this individual highly enough.

I have had Mr. Ouellette handle several legal matters for me. He is extremely meticulous and knowledgeable. His ethics are above reproach and I know I can trust him. He is forthright and assertive. I would highly recommend him.

Chris Ouellette is determined and tough minded (sometimes tough talking.. he does not pull any punches) individual who is dedicated to getting his client the best possible outcome. Even after a police manipulated confession on a very serious charge (4-5 years jail time), Chris got the confession excluded and got it thrown out.
