In 2022, during the COVID pandemic, I was the victim of a scam by a company pretending to be a government service — Ontario Green Savings. Like many other Canadian homeowners, I was misled into signing a contract to replace my hot water tank. Mr. Alex De Bousquet is a money making lawyer. After helping him with all the facts and evidence with my wife case before the labor relations board in 2021. Accusing me of undermining my wife case instead of depending her case for unfair termination. After taking $17,300.00 to my wife and deposited the money to his CIBC account instead of company account. He returned the $3,000.00 to my wife after terminating his services for refusing us a detailed invoices. Still decided to refused to acknowledge our Notice of Assessment before the Superior Court of Justice up to now. His email to my wife is very clear for us to prepare $10k to $15k more in preparation for a hearings. He never attended any hearing. Instead adjourned the hearings twice on June 1, 2021 and September 20, 2021. Added to the insults he gave his lawyer Andrew Ostrom $3,000.00 just to request for another hearing. He never responded to my wife comments in their company reviews and BBB complaint. Disgusting lawyer. Mr. Galuego

The only thing Debousquet has tenacity in is to take your money. On an agreement that you sign at his office that they conviently forget to give you a copy of, in hidden paragraph it states you give them the right to charge your credit card that they have photocopied and have on file. Incredibly dishonest. Those other rave requiews ? I would hazard a quess that he, as well as his staff, have alot of time on their hands. Money is better spent with another lawyer.

Alexandre is by far the best advocate. I always thought that lawyers are acquisitive, but meeting Jean-Alexandre has changed my notion forever. Of course, there might be other competent lawyers out there but not everyone is altruistic, in nature.
Alexandre's benevolent and abetting nature, make him a unique advocate, indeed. Alexandre is not only an ASTUTE lawyer but also an amiable person, always up to support his clients. He has been my savior during my hardships. His advice not only sorted out the legal matter but also made my life easy. Back in August 2020, my employer announced its intention to terminate our work agreement by the end of that week. A meager severance payment was attached to the separation notice at no extra charge.

A great barrister doesn't come cheap, but they also don't necessarily deliver.Barrister de Bousquet has been in high profile cases of the "david vs goliath" type and is a feisty and efficient barrister who tells things like they are, gets the job done and doesn't back down. Although my situation was relatively minor (an employer's Demands Letter, to remove personal opinions of a former boss from my FB and threat of a law suit for defamation) I was given unconditional attention and respect. Mr. DeBouquet is a phenomenal lawyer. Unlike many other lawyers that just shoved me aside or criticized my actions. Which I am ashamed of. He tried to be as understanding as he possibly could. Alex is a great lawyer. I required his assistance for a matter and although it wasn't the biggest deal in the world he honestly treated my problems as if they were. He went ABOVE & BEYOND what I needed. He took time out of his own schedule to do a little extra work even though it made his job tougher but because he did the extra work I saved a great amount of hassle. He always kept me updated as towards the situation. His price was extremely reasonable and fair. One time he called me to let me know he was still waiting for an update from the other side, It's the little things like that which make life easier especially in troublesome times when legal help is needed. Aside from the small things, I must mention, I have met plenty of lawyers in my life considering I am in real estate, but Alex is a gem. He is honest, and THAT is the hardest thing to find in a lawyer these days. I would most definitely hire him again.
