Karen Dummermuth has absolutely no business as a GAL! She is manipulative and only listens to one side. She has absolutely NO interest in what’s best for the children! She would rather disrupt their innocent lives to give Convicted Felons, Drug Addicts, criminals etc. the right to damage them even more. She acted as if she were the felons attorney instead of the GAL! It’s horrible they allow her to be involved with children! She is a cold hearted person.

Karen is very professional and straight forward. Upon telling her our concerns she took action. Not leaving one corner unturned. She definitely looks out for the safety and best interest of the child. I highly recommend her for anyone who is in need of a GLA. She was an answered prayer and an angel in disguise. We will always be grateful to her.

I contacted Karen because I was interested in obtaining a Power of Attorney. I didn’t have an appointment, but she still took the time to listen to my situation and talk to me until all of my questions were answered. I felt like she really cared and wanted to help. A few days later when the situation became dire, I called her and requested a Power of Attorney be drawn up and signed immediately. She did not hesitate to make an appointment the next day. When I arrived, she had everything ready to go and carefully took her time walking us through the process. I found her to be compassionate and really concerned about the well-being of my family. She understood what we were going through and the sense of urgency the situation required. Working with Karen helped turn a terrible situation into a positive outcome. I would recommend her without hesitation.

My brother begged and pleaded to get him out of NEW DAWN NURSING HOME in Dover, Ohio. Yevette Schupbach, their A. Director gave false testimony in court to keep their beds filled for payment. The Dr. actually told me this. Dummermuth and Schupbach prevented my POA to get him home and grabbed Guardianship for the money. i have all the proof. Contact me, e3music@sbcglobal.net. I'm looking for Whistle Blowers for this nursing home and anyone involved with it. These are my comments and I will show anyone all the proof that I obtained.

I will update my review as soon as this situation is corrected. So. For starters, when I was trying to connect with her, she was rude and kept asking me to take off work early or a few hours to meet with her. When she is fully capable of meeting after I get off of work. The matter isn't supposed to be heard until november for starters. She then comes into my home and created chaos. Absolute chaos. My youngest child has a cold. He doesn't feel good. Clearly. She made me try to force him to eat. If a child isn't hungry you can't force a fork down his throat. She said I should have a routine. We do. She interupted our routine. Seriously? My child was SCREAMING uncontrollably every time the bowl was brought out. Obviously that isn't what he wanted. My oldest was watching YouTube. A game. She wants to say it was inappropriate. Gets him going. Absolute fit. I feel like she set up the situation to get the result she wanted. My mom and grandma were with me. And they agree.

How can she be a GAL? No professional knowledge, no quarilty,she was very rude and mean. As my son’s GAL, She is a hateful, biased person. She stood on my ex husband side and did judgement unfair. I request court investigate her, she has no qualification to be a GAL..

Not sure where to begin. I was divorced 4 years ago and still fighting to get visitation with my children. She was appointed the GAL of my case and I quickly understood how unprofessional this woman is. Halfway through my very 1st meeting with her, she literally yelled at me with her snide comments. She had made her mind up about me before we ever. I nvr met such a hateful human being in all my life. Her preconceived notion of the truth about me came straight out of my ex's mouth. Talk about unfair? this has been a crime. I thought her role was to join children with "both" parents who were dragged through a divorce so they can heal and continue to love both appropriately. She blocked every opportunity I had to see my kids and after 4 years had the "audacity" to comment to me "its been 4 years since you saw your kids, that's a very long time"! It's beyond me to imagine how this human being continues to hold this position in Tusc. County. Why does this crime continue to go unnoticed?

I was warned that once you fought back against her, she’d stop at nothing to destroy you. In the last two years she’s harassed me making me go to court twice - both times they were thrown out without merit but there is nothing stopping her from doing it again. With her pal linda out of a position to appoint her guardian over nearly all cases in probate court there is hope that others won’t have the same harassment from attorney Dummermuth. Someone from the attorney generals office should dig into the hours she’s billed the court for the last few years. They would be better off hiring someone internally because she’s managed to stay so busy billing the county - she hardly has time to do her own cases. Of course she does find time to Bill the county for frivolous hearings where she trash talks the very family she is supposed to be helping. If ever there was a case of stealing from the court to even scores it has been done over and over again in Tuscarawas County juvenile probate court

Horrible, horrible, horrible! She tells you one thing and does something different. She told me to lie to my child if that is what it takes. She told me my child would not amount to anything nor graduate, she called my child a delinquent. Unfortunately, if she would have done her job as a GAL and had the best interest of my child, my child would not have been subjected to the lies, stealing, cheating and delinquent older brothers for 8 years of my child's life. And somehow the GAL tells me that is my responsibility. The GAL is being paid to protect the child! Protect the children!!! This lady is very biased, and not truthful nor trustworthy. How she is a GAL is beyond me...and I guess all of us who rated her. Unfortunately, this is just a little part of all her doings over the past few years. Not enough space to write everything.

My experience with Ms Dummermuth is very similar to the other reviews I read. She was appointed a s guardian ad litem for my custody case as well. She was very nice during my initial interview. After meeting with my ex-husband She obviously took his side and looked down her nose at me from then on. Things that she told me we're not a concern were listed in her report as a her main concerns! Apparently I move too much although I have only moved 3 times in the past 8 years! And have been at my current residence for over 3 years! She also chose to tell my son how he should be answering her questions! And that's exactly what she told me herself! She is a hateful, biased person that absolutely has no business being in the position of a GAL.

I've had one interaction with this attorney and as long as I live, she'll serve as a reminder of what happens when power and control go to a bad persons head. A neighbor was involved in a custody case and I was involved to give a bystanders point of view. Neighbor was hard working, always clean and kind, but because he was a man who worked for a living, to her, he was an ant to be crushed. She hardly let me speak and interrupted to ask the next question and was on her way to something else and rushed. I don't know what happened in her past to make her hate hard working men, but she's got it in for them. I gave her a 2 on value only because you get what you pay for and my neighbor and his ex had to share the cost.

She was guardian ad litem on my case. She made it known she didn't like me only met with me 1 time! Also very biased and didn't investigate properly. Took other parties side due to his cousin was her friend. Very rude yelled at me pointed her finger in my face with my children in the room. Threatened my children.

Ms. Dummermuth is an attorney that should have found another line of work. She's mean, arrogant and lies in front of the judge. I feel sorry for anyone that chooses her to represent them. She fails to investigate the truth and uses her preconceived ideas to guide her decisions without first doing her due diligence.

Karen Dummermuth has misguided ideas of what someone with a disability needs. She comes across as arrogant and does not take into account past history. She has predetermined ideas in her head and brain washes impressionable individuals.

The court appointed this person as "Guardian Ad Litem" in our custody case and there was an undesirable strain of gender-bias in the experience that was permeated with controlled, cut-off answers and excuses for everything outside of reality. Many times, we questioned how this particular person could ever be appointed to something as delicate as a custody case. Nevertheless, the entire experience with this person was a futile waste of effort, money and time. With great power comes great responsibility and in this particular situation, all was ignored.

the rating reflects little/no knowledge of elder law even though she was appointed as my mother's financial guardian. her communication skills are lacking. she needs to take a refresher course on basic letter writing. she cuts off questions with an abrupt pre-planned answer & that's if she listens at all. tenacity? the woman has brass cojones. she lied in court on two occassions & liabled me in front of family members. her work quality is very poor. her court record in my mother's case has several warnings about being late with reports. her reimbursement checks to me were so late that i couldn't pay my own bills on time & now have a bad credit rating due to "late payments". she is rude and controlling. after caring for my mother for five years, she "evicted" me & i was homeless. she wants to sell my mother's house for $44K when homes in the same area are selling between $85K - 96K. i suspect she graduated last in her class & am continuing to search for her transscripts.
