when he was first approached about representing me, he was oh yeah we could do this and that. I told him what I didn't want,he did exactly then told me that it was standard procedure. never follow-up with my case at BOLI until I asked about it. BOLI doesn't have any record of him sending my paperwork over and it was dismissed due to lack o evidence. After that all he wanted me to do was settle, at one pint I confronted him about who he really was advocating for; me or the defendant. Now he says we can't hold her accountable (opposite of what he said initially. He was pressuring me to settle, telling me that he would give me a $10,000 discount if we didn't go to court. even though I was losing 1/4 of my monthly income, he told me he would be okay losing this much of HIS income. he doesn't want to give me the $10,000.00, he claims that he lost money on my case, wouldn't even talk to me. I had to make several corrections on his paperwork. poor quality of work, he goes for the easy money!

Mr. Crispin acts like he's on the ball and will pursue your case with diligance, and tells you about what a good case you have (and I did) but once he sees the money he becomes uncommunicative and bills excessively (then you have to negotiate a "courtesy discount" - I kid you not). One senior attorney in Portland put it best when I saw him and told him about Crispin. He said, "He's a one trick pony, that talks all big and belligerent to the other counsel, then runs like a little dog when the stuff he's thrown out there get's challenged and it's time to step-up and go to court." Just a flat-out fraud.

We were told that we had a strong discrimination and sexual harassment case against my wife's employer (a state agency). Crispin took a $3,000 retainer and told us to be uncooperative with BOLI because they were a state agency and would be looking out for their best interests. We told them only what they needed, nothing more. They came out with a report that the complaint was invalid. Crispin had said that whatever the BOLI outcome, they would proceed to filing a lawsuit. After BOLI announced their findings, he changed his tune and told us that they had decided they wouldn't file. From this point, it was basically "goodbye" and they kept the 3 grand. If you truly need a good lawyer, stay far away from this shister.
