Smart attorney; however you have to literally force him to court before he does anything in a case. Very lazy.

I used Mr. Brackett for a divorce/custody case. We were able to resolve the case quickly and favorably. Kristen was the paralegal assigned to my case and she was effective and a good communicator. When I retained him, I knew he had a one attorney law firm which means he is often in court and unavailable. If you need someone who is readily available and a good hand holder, then you should probably look for a different attorney. However, he was there when I needed him. If I had a question or issue, I primarily communicated with Kristen and she would follow-up with him and given me feedback. Mr. Brackett is very knowledgeable and can pretty much predict how the case will end up from the beginning but cannot guarantee an outcome. He is very expensive but, for me, it was worth it.

No responses, cancelled appointments, missed court ordered appearances, snotty attitude, condescending. Need I say more.

Mr. Brackett took my money and 3 years later I still do not have a settlement with my wealthy ex-husband. I was a stay-at-home mom and after18 years of marriage and 2 children, he left us for his mistress whom he married as soon as our divorce was final. I still do not have child support or alimony and he does not even help with the childrens medical bills. I have done everything I can to get Mr. Brackett and his staff to do their job and all I get are empty promises. I have given him all the money I had and can not afford another attorney now so I have had to hold my tongue for fear that he will drop me as a client. He is arrogant and phony. I had heard that he was the toughest attorney in town and would be expensive but he was worth it. Not even close to being true. I have been living in limbo for the past 3 years now thanks to Mr. Brackett and if it were not for the help of family and friends my children and I would have nothing. It is truly shameful what he has done to us.
