I can't believe this woman is still "practicing" law. NOW recommended her 15 years ago for my divorce. She barely paid attention to anything I said, answering her phone while I sat in her office, and when it came to a four-way meeting with my ex and his attorney, I was totally on my own. She had nothing to say and allowed his attorney to take over the meeting. I had prepared a letter to my ex that I wanted her to read before I sent it to him and she never bothered to read it until we were sitting at the meeting. In the end, my ex and I were able to come to agreements together, without the help (or lack thereof) of this inept attorney.

I found Binnie through NOW and FOCUS and thought she would fight for me - what a poor assumption. When we finally came before the hearing officer she froze. I provided her with my ex-husband's bank account, life insurance policies (that I paid the premiums for 25 years and had substantial cash values)IRA and other investments.When brought up in court my ex's lawyer said his parents took them out and he should get them - Binnie did not say a word. I did not get any percentage of those valuable items. I showed the hearing officer my saving account before we married - both my parents had died and left me money which I used as downpayment on our home - his lawyer said it did not count - so I lost on that issue too. At that point I realized that I was by myself and had to speak on my behalf - so I atleast did get my half of the house. If you have a contract with Binnie - get out of it as soon as you can before you loose more. Friends gave me better help and guidance than Binne.
